Welcome to the TuxTutor. Our goal here is to compile a set of tools that will make it easy for beginners to start to use all of the wonderful features of Linux in all it's flavors. 
In the beginning, we will focus on the Ubuntu distributions. As of the creation of this blog, the supported versions of Ubuntu are 8.04 for production use and 9.04 for the transitional release.
We will focus primarily on use, not development. Our tutorials are for the user to get the most out of the Linux operating system. Those of you who are more technically savy will probably find our materials less than complete, but for the user who may be used to Microsoft(tm) or Apple products, you will quickly find that Linux possesses all of the features you have come to know with these other products, plus a whole lot more that is either free or close to it.
